Black Cavalier

I just RECIEVED this hat today, that I puchased from an ONLINE auction. It seems like a nice hat. The liner is sewn in, the brim is 2 5/8ths, the crown is about 4 3/4. The felt is soft and pliable, seems to be pretty good quality. Are there any out there that have or have seen this brand before? The liner states 5th Ave NY. The white ribbon must and will go soon.

I am guessing that it is, it also came with a wind trolley that needs to be reattached.

I can't find anything on this brand hat, would like to know more about cavalier myself, and it has a c-crown!

The white ribbon really sets the hat color off.

This is the hat with the ribbon draped over it. Black is a very hard color to photograph as is the dark teal. The arrow points to the area closest to the true color of the ribbon.

are you going to keep the old ribbon; just put the new one over it?

I doubt that a smooth finish could be accomplished without removal of the old ribbon.
