Super, I hope you realize and understand you are involved with irreconcilable worldwide differences of opinion and bigotry, skis vs 'boards.
Nice story about your reunion.

Come on guys. Does anyone like my jacket?

I like your jacket. Pretty obvious I own BK jackets. I'm certainly not alone. They are pictured in this thread and other threads. I will continue to post pictures of BK jackets in any relevant thread and this is certainly one. I like BK jackets. I like Liberty horsehide. I like the victory horse side. I also like GW, RMC, Arrow, lost worlds Etc.. I'm happy to answer questions about any of the jackets I own including BK

The 'Greatest Generation' gave their lives to free themselves, future generations, and millions of Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, those with disabilities and different political opinions.

That's good enough for me.
I'm not gay.
I don't care if you are.
I won't persecute you.
I’m not going to beat a dead horse here either. Just @Big J your post here reminded me of something. There’s a Libertines song called Arbeit Macht Frei which hung above Auschwitz. Meaning work will set you free. The line is “her old man...he don’t like black or queers...yet he’s proud we beat the Nazis? How queer.” And if there’s any sci-fi, dystopian fans it plays in a very poignant scene in Children of Men.

@Superfluous, yeah, it is unnerving to step out of life's 'cookie-cutter' expectations. There are people who can't understand and will have a problem with that. When I first started dating my wife, I remember an incident in a Japanese restaurant where a group of drunken salarymen on the next table decided to go on and on about what a loser my wife was, and how she was dating me because no decent Japanese guys would have her. That sort of thing. They got pretty quiet pretty quick when I gave them a mouthful in Japanese.

@ton312, I'll never forget the time my firstborn and I went out for a drive to get ice-cream so that soon-to-pop again mom could get a rest. My kids both look more like their mother than me. Anyhow, we bought ice-cream and were sitting in the mall when these two cops come over and ask my kid where her parents were! Seems that some nosey busy body reported me to store security, and they called the police. My kid was so confused, and the police got the picture pretty quick, but it was kind of scary.

Holy.. smokes.. I was ignoring this thread because I didn't really care about BK or their leather hides. What an epic thread development!

Btw - that BK private email is reprehensible, Liberty HH looks like crap (Victory looks okay tho), and you can *clearly* see some shills lurking in this thread so be mindful of anyone trying to influence you.

It is the last time that I will answer on this issue.
I swear I never met this man in the 40 years that I do this job and never hear anything about him or his company in the Greek market.
It's a ghost company, running here and there.
We have been registered in the Greek archives since 1979, we have an address, phones, shop and whoever wants to visit us, our door is always open.
I have previously invited him through the forum to visit us and finally state where this company is and which exactly produces its products. No answer.
So I forbid all of you to involve my name with someone I never met.
Thank you for the clarification sir.
P.s. You've got a new order coming in

Was ready to order an A-2 Roughwear 27752 from BK as a gift for my son ( birthday in July)...
Totally confused reading all this.

I remember the guy known as Platon when he used to post on Club Obi Wan talking about the ultimate specs for an Indy jacket. He was often in trouble with the others for his conduct. Nothing major, just arrogance. He kept threatening to go and have jackets made and that his real interest was A2's. But I do think he always said he could do this in Greece because of a long tradition of leather crafts people he knew. I guess BK would only need a couple of people and a small space to make jackets.

Ton,

Thank you for the brave, poignant post. Whenever I see photos of you and your beautiful daughter, it warms my heart. BTW, I am adopted and so grateful that my parents chose that path. Many people have asked me whether I have or will search for the woman who gave birth to me – my response is always the same: I only have one set of parents.

As you know, my wife is Chinese (from Taiwan). I first met her 30 years ago and we dated for a year. I was madly in love with her back then. However, I was fearful about committing to an interracial marriage. I was uneasy about the social stigma. She didn’t fit the Normal Rockwell painting. In truth, I was a coward. Thus, I walked away from the woman I deeply loved. Two years later, I married a Caucasian c**t that I did not love, and I was completely miserable for many years. Many of the hobbies I pursued with obsessive fervor – e.g., watches and cars – were largely fueled by my desire to escape my wife and marriage. After I finally divorced the c**t, I reconnected with the love of my life (who also had a failed marriage during the interim). We have been a happily married interracial couple for six years now. I cannot imagine a life without her and I regularly kick myself for the profoundly bad decision I made 30 years ago when I cowardly walking away from her. Yes, we occasionally face bigotry because of our different races, but I do not give one sh*t. We are spectacularly happy together and I so blessed to call her my wife.

We were married at the top of Mammoth Mountain . . . in addition to being interracial, we are also a mixed couple in that she is a snowboarder and I am a skier.

Note the spiffy jackets, which render this post on-topic for the Outerwear forum.
Bravo! very nice couple, all well sad, Bravo!

After I read Otter's posts yesterday I did an FB search for BK, and under 'brands' there were two results for Bill Kelso leather. One of them Bill Kelso (Ireland) or something like that, as its FB name.
Reading the comments just above about the jackets being made in India or Pakistan, I just went and searched FB again, and the Ireland reference seems to have disappeared.
I am fallible, memory isn't perfect. Did anyone else not notice this? Now I'm doubting myself, but I'm pretty sure it was there yesterday.
Making jackets in Ireland doesn't immediately raise any red flags with me.
Reading this thread, not knowing who is who behind this company is the main thing that would put me off sending them money as a potential customer.
We know who is who at Aero, GW, ELC, even DD. But not BK?
