This a Black Friday sale jacket I received a few weeks back. This is the Liberty horsehide. It is size 44. Since I owned a BK Duke the sizing was pretty easy. Great fit, nice light weight. I don't know what they call the lining, but I really like it. Of all the jackets I own I don't have too many with a cool lining so I paid the extra charge. Don't remember what the upcharge was. The Black Friday Special was a very nice discount. I like the vintage original touches like the Californian label and the union label. The reproduction Talon zipper is very nice looking with great action. An excellent choice which I don't recall seeing on any other repro jackets. I believe I have a nos Talon like this in my stash. The two button cuffs are a nice fit for me. The buttons on my Duke don't really do much. Large cuffs are very common on vintage jackets, not sure why. The throat latch is very easy to button and gives the jacket a Cafe racer look. Very functional/comfortable.

The Liberty HH is very different from the Victory HH on the Duke, apples and oranges, at least my examples. The Liberty is designed to show wear and it does. I'm not into artificial wear and distressing so I wasn't sure how I would like this. This jacket wears in a very natural way, although accellerated. I'm watching the wear develop, I will post some more pics down the road. These pics were taken when the jacket arrived.

Very nice,I too like that lining.

The lining is very similar to weathered Gordon Tartan ( my favourite lining) .... it is after all my family tartan ..... I'm not sure if it has the yellow stripe ... but it's pretty close .... I have 7 jackets in this lining :D

Some samples

I'm also loving the 1950's "Green Mountain" Californian Label :D

I really like that Alexander lining. I've come close to buying a couple of Alexander jackets just because of the lining. Thanks for sharing those.

So, is Victory more of an Aero FQHh weight, while liberty is more mid-weight?

I would say yes the Victory is more like the Aero heavy HH Cafe I owned, but still very different. The Victory is heavy, but much less stiff than the Aero HH. I got the Duke near new and to me didn't need breaking in like Aero cafe. Don't know how else to put it, really unique leather.

This Libety is very light. I have not weighed it, but I would guess no more than 3 pounds, maybe less. Easy to wear out of the box. I don't know who is making a HH jacket as light and that really surprised me.

Here is the Dodger with my new Aero Original Hercules. It was mentioned in another thread that the BK Liberty had a plastic/vinyl feel and look. To me, the BK is neither while the Aero is both, but then I rather expected that from the new Aero leather. This Aero HH is nothing at all like the BK Victory. I have no problems with either one.

I love it!

Now that I got time I will get some of my vintage HH posted. I know you like vintage. Here is the Aero with some vintage brothers.

The jacket on the left is probably 40s the jacket on the left 50s maybe early 60s. Note both have the shiny plastic/vinyl look. All three look like they could have come from the same era. Both the vintage jackets are still stiff, though not quite as heavy as the Aero.

Here is a Video I took today. Yes I'm old with a bit of middle. The jacket is a 44. I'm 5'9" and weigh about 200 pounds. I like the fit others may not. For me it is easier to do a vid.
