You see it all the time. It’s a way of communicating without letting in a response. Someone raises a sign that says, “Abortion is murder” and there is no response. You have your views and someone else has theirs. It works that way with bulletin boards like the Lounge. You’re not Pen beats sword, mouth beats pen.
We are not conversing with each other in a room or a park, we are posting statements online and they can be taken the wrong way or written the wrong way. When you have a concern or a doubt about decorum, send that PM to the moderator; don’t lash back in response.
I’ve seen biiloarding take people down. I saw a friend destroy his friendship with his mother by just responding to her email messages. Dissecting them and sending them back. Sometimes posting rambling blogs that cut even further. Long before we had instant messaging or boards or typewriters we had the human voice and sometimes that’s all it takes to tear down a standoff between two nations. Anyway… just a post
