I just heard that Bill Mauldin will be getting his own postage stamp! There’s no release date yet but it’s going to be out this year.

You can bet I’ll be buying and using a LOT of these!
Of course, Willie and Joe were already honored in 1993 in the USPS’s WW2 series (which the characters on that one were actually not Mauldin’s artwork, but done by artist Bill Bond and copied from Mauldin’s original work), but this is the first stamp ever to honor Mauldin himself.
