Hi Andy,

Thanks for posting beautiful jackets !

With regards to the Chennault Jacket:

I was curious about the stitching around the right side pocket area.

I saw the original jacket with the "blood chit " sewn inside the jacket.

On your Chennault jackets;
I would like to know if the stitching is very pronounced or noticeable or
is it due to the camera light enhancing the stitch work around this area.

Is this jacket pattern of the original Aero ?
Seal Brown horsehide ?

If you have a link that answers my questions, please let me know.

Regards,
J

That is a lovely jacket. I'm not an A2 fan, but that has blown me away...

To answer the questions above, no the stitching is not very noticeable. I could say it compliments the jacket.
Yes, the pattern is from original Aero.

Yeah, that would be historically accurate. Should be the same too for the patches (stiching showing on the lining). Result of them being sewn in place on a complete jacket with the lining already in it - only way of really doing it.

Andy,

Can you find out if this style jacket have the pocket flaps made
like this below?

for me , it compliments the curvature of the collar area.

( Himel Bros. were not too keen on the idea )

nevertheless...
Thanks for posting such a magnificent jacket !
