I purchased this in hopes of finally acquiring the suit of my dreams. I was rather disappointed when it arrived at my doorsteps. Being it was a custom made suit, the fit just wasn't for me. I'm barrel chested with more of a Tarzan like build. The owner of the suit was more portly, as there's evidence of the buttons having been moved 3.5 inches to accommodate the gut. Also, the waist was let out 3-4 inches on the trousers. The seller apparently left all these details out when I bought the suit. I would say the original size was a men's 44 - 46. If you wear a 38 - 40 waist pant, this suit should serve you well. I'm a 46 - 48 suit and it's a size too small. The lining was repaired but still in need of more repair. The top buttonhole also needs repair(needs a gimp). The waist liner for the pants is wrinkled and has some loose seams; plus I count 4 buttons missing for braces.
coat:24.5" pit-pit,20" shoulders,26" sleeve,33.5" long;pants:42x32,1 3/4" cuff
It's a deeper darker slate blue than the pics show. It's a very soft high quality wool that drapes nicely. You can't duplicate material like this anymore. I only wish it fit. I'm throwing in 4 matching vintage replacement buttons for suspenders and also a set of vintage 30s-40s braces. I'm asking $180 plus shipping.
