Best Wife EVER!

It was my birthday yesterday. My wife got me some nice presents but the best one is yet to come. She contacted Art without me knowing and got me a hat made up from vintage silhouettes. Just have to wait for it to make it threw Canadian customs. I don't know who is more impatient for it to get here, her or me. Damn she has good taste.

Wow Johnny! That is so cool...not just the hat, but especially your wife doing that. I showed my wife and then she asked what I figured doing something like that would cost. When I guesstimated, she replied that the hats I currently have are quite nice (in other words "dream on") lol

New strategy for the married guys. One month before birthday or Christmas, hide all your good hats, say you lost them, then proceed to wear the raggediest, beat up old hat you can scrounge up. With any luck, there will be a nice new Art Fawcett arriving soon.

I don't want to ad worry however; the Canadian Customs haven't the cleanest of records when it comes to packages from the US. I have had bad luck with them in the past... I lived in Canada for two years and most of what I was sent made it... but, I knew others who waited forever to receive anything... and they never did receive it.

Beautiful hat and a sharp wife who knows her onions… I hope it all will work out ok. I hope there’s a tracking number or something you can look it up and find out where it is.

panicked phone call

The adventure continues. I just got a panicked phone call from my wife, out of breath, on her cell phone. She decided to go for a walk with our two lovely little girls. Just as she got to the bottom of the hill what should pass her by? The mail truck. She called me as she was running back up the hill, pushing the double stroller, trying to get back to our house before the mail man left. Long store short she got there in time and my hat is now waiting for me at home. Now can she wait long enough for me to get home? or will she open it for me?

Yup Kaosharper, it's Blue smoke. John had inquired a few months back about a western hat , leading me to believe it might be his next order, when Mrs. John inquired. I shared with her the inquiry and shebang..the western type crossover was born.
