Just thought the people visiting here would like to see this unused tube of 1930s era Ben-Gay I got a few years ago from a junk shop.
It includes the informative book about Ben Gay inside that tells the history of the product and the many uses it had. I love the design and the way they tried to protect their identity with Dr. Bengue's signature.
At the time, it still went under the original French name "Bengue", because they were trying to trademark this in North America I guess they felt it appropriate to give the product a Phonetic Anglicized nickname - Ben-Gay.
Today Ben-Gay is just called Bengay and it's owned by Pfizer.
Wonder if this stuff would still work? I myself believe that it will be heavily toxic!
