I came across this beautiful suit today in my travels. I offer these photos for your edification.

Sadly, it was small enough to fit Isaac.

It was a great suit!! But I have to say I like the picture of Isaac the madman a little more than I like that suit. I'm biased though, he is my only nephew Well, until December 6th when my next nephew or niece is born I just love that picture, it's the one that shows his personality the best. Yes, there is such a thing as the terrible two's!!

No, it was all wool. A nice heavy wool, at that.

It's torture for me too. If only to have a suit like this made one day.

Not quite, but I suppose I could always go back.

I think the lapels are particularly interesting; in how the lower point is much wider than the upper. The slanted back pleats are interesting as well.

That's an awesome, awesome suit. As you said, Hem, filled with interesting little details - the pleats, the lapels, the button placement on the pocket, and all of that. This will sound like a weird question, but was it a two button or three? It certainly looks like there should be another button there where the lapels roll, but it's hard to see if there's actually one there.

Sigh. As far as I know, Hem's not a gigantic nine foot tall mutant or anything, so I'm guessing it's definitely too small for me as well. Though as has been said, if a repro could be made...

It was a 2-button, My Friend, and yes, it was tiny, as small as I have ever seen. I think, perhaps, it was made for a young man.

p.s. that's a lovely suit. 'Bit weird the button on the breast pocket, but weirdness seems to be pretty common in golden era suits.

Baron, you would probably do well here. There are a lot of suits below 40s that sit for months, if indeed you are able to wear that size.

Yes, this suit is a little weird, which is what I like so much about it.

The leather that I photographed was just a portion. Some of it needed a good conditioning.
