In a monumental attempt to step in the digital world big time, the BBC has announced that it will port its entire catalogue of TV programming online.
That's almost 81 years of BBC content which will be made available through its websites and quite possibly through its iPlayer and Kangaroo platforms in a near future.
Rather than merely content for use online; the Beeb is planning to create a web page for every episode of every programme ever broadcasted by the BBC which will bring written content, links and probably unseen footage in what would amount to a giant multimedia wikipedia filled with BBC content.
