Bathing Caps

Hi Ladies:

I'm just wondering...

Since such lovely pictures of your hairstyles have been posted, and we all know how long it takes to set/dry and style hair, what do you do when you go swimming in a pool or at the beach? Do you wear a bathing cap?

I just ordered a new swimsuit from the Esther Williams collection (the white with cherries) and was offered a special price at checkout of a bathing cap. I didn't order it, but now wonder if I should have.

What does everyone do?

Ooh! I want one too... I was looking at pictures the other day of girls in 20's and 30's suits and said to myself "I really need a swimming cap. Especially a white one"

I have the Benifit shower cap and it makes me happy :D

Thanks for posting the link! I just moved to a house with a pool and I was thinking the other day that I really needed a swimming cap because I'm tired of getting my hair wet each day, especially if I've just set it.

It's funny, my mother made me wear a swimming cap when I was a little kid in the mid to late 60's and I hated it. She'd really laugh if she knew I was considering voluntarily wearing one now.

Vintage Playtex Swim Cap Link.

Here is a link with tons of info and pictures of swim caps.

Years ago there were products called "Swim Band" and "Dry Band" They were head bands made of polyfoam that you would wrap around the hair line to cover your ears. you would then slip a swimcap over the head band and what water leaked in would be absorbed by the inner band.
