hey there, anyone happen to know what the original brand name(s) of the desk lamps with the green glass shade is? because im looking for one and i dont want a reproduction...thanks so much

("Banker's" can mean 10 different lamps to 10 different people you might ask)

I have a 1920s/30s original and the only marking I could find was "P & S" on the socket. Don't know if that's the manufacturer or just the manufacturer of the socket itself... I'll try to post a pic when my camera charges.

P&S is for Pass & Seymour an electrical parts manufacturer, research says they date back to 1890.

(Sweet lamp by the way)

I'm guessing that P & S was the maker of the socket, then. No clue as to the manufacturer of the lamp. There was probably a paper label affixed to the felt bottom that fell off long ago. I think it is safe to assume that this lamp was made no later than 1940; probably in the 20's, going by the family history of the estate this is from.

(And yes, that really is a tax return from 1939- one single sheet of paper... :) )
