Behind the 8 ball,..
I just found this awesome suit by Bagir of Israel at my favorite vintage/antique/junk store.

Double breasted and fully lined and made of a very beautiful light weight 100% wool fabric. Trousers are pleated and cuffed with suspender buttons. I think it is only as old as maybe the late 80's or early 90's, [huh] not exactly vintage in the strictest sense of the term, but for 25 bucks I couldn't pass it up. It even fits me quite well! :D

I looked them up online and learned that they are a very inovative clothing manufacturer which utilizes the latest advances in fabrics, such as a machine washable wool blend. Also on the cutting edge of technology, as they introduced a special suit designed especially for Ipod users last year.

That is really a quite nice suit and a great score, no matter the era. Looks like something you can take in just about any direction - in my clumsy hands it would get bold striped shirts and bow ties.

Do I see it right? Is it six with one to button?

Where's Howard Hughes when you need him?

"That's the way of the future . . . the way of the future . . . the way of the future . . ." lol It's amazing where technology is headed though, isn't it?

Got one

I've just won a Bagir suit on eBay. I'll share some info and pics when I get it in my hands.

Looks like yours, Nick, in a dark blue and 6/2.

Mine just arrived. With a few more photos, the seller could have realized a handsome price, rather than the pittance I spent. The fabric, though "year-'round" is quite vintage in feel, color and texture, and it will fit just about perfectly once the sleeves and trousers are adjusted. Only negative is that the cuffs will be lost. Pictures when I get it back.
