Baby and toddler clothes?

Can anyone enlighten me on where I could find vintage baby clothes/toddler clothes? I've seen some on ebay, but I'm somewhat confused at what I should be looking for to be accurate.

Hi Eva, and welcome! I'm new here too- and I've been through Texarkana a few times on my way to & from Lubbock. lol

I have an 18 month old son and have been able to find a few vintage outfits for him. If you scrounge around a lot of thrift stores (church-run ones seem to have the best stuff, at least around here) you'll find some things. It'll probably be pretty obvious which things are vintage- often they're knit or hand-sewn, as most baby clothes were homemade. I have had some luck also finding vintage-inspired clothing for boys- think sailor suits.

My little boy if 4 and too hard on his clothes to wear vintage. I do dress him as classically as I can. Sort of 1950's Leave It to Beaver. JCPenny has some great striped polo shirts, paired with jeans or denim overhauls, is adorable. I also found some great canvas high top sneakers with Bazooka Jo printed on them in Wal-mart in the spring. If I can find a picture I will post one.

Thanks! And I hadn't thought how hard they'd be on the clothes.. I just purchased some vintage online..I think I'll save it for special occasions!
