Talking of Jimi Hendrix (in another recent thread...), a few days ago I watched a documentary about his short career, and it seems Jimi liked to wear a number of black hats, possibly "boss of the plains" or similar models, decorated with various metal and silk adornments.
Yesterday I transformed my (relatively minor) Just-6x-in into some kind of boss (the brim isn't completely flat...) and I'm playing around with the idea of pinning some hardware onto it as well as adorning it with an old tie-dyed silk scarf (which my wife had selected to be discarded). Baba cool!
