authentic old fashioned pasteries

I picked up some pastery at a Mexican bakery and they taste like something that they would have made back in the 40's, they're an old fashioned little fruit pies, they had several different kinds, like:
sweet potato, guava, mango, apple, strawberry, etc.

these are traditional mexican pastery made by hand the old fashioned way.

There are Panaderias sprouting up around here in semi-rural Indiana. I love the sweet bread and empanadas. I find it hilarious when I ask what flavor the cookies are and the woman says "dulce."
