They appear from time to time so not *that* rare.
You might know (since you've been registered in this forum since Oct 2014) people in this forum keeps track on ebay, so your hat did not passed unnoticed.
We don't comment on active ebay auctions so you will not find a "evaluation post" nor any comment on your auction.
I'm not the best to evaluate a hat, there is people here that can do and know better than me, but you already have a starting point since it didn't sold on ebay for $300.

Just for some general idea of pricing, I just received a very similar Clear Nutria Stetson size 7 1/8 in about same condition as yours for which I negotiated the price with the seller who was originally asking $89.00. Seller accepted my offer of $65.00. Good luck with your sales. These don't come up often for sale.
