Cancer... so insidious. It killed a friend of mine two days ago. His wife had recovered from cancer herself. So sad.

The quintessential Aussie character. He'll be so missed. I was only watching him in Gallipoli just before ANZAC Day. But what Australian movie could you watch that hasn't got him in it? God bless you Bill.

Swinggal, Bud Tingwell's one of my favourites too. I bought his book War Stories a few months back, and it's brilliant.
