It's a shame they don't run anymore...it would be so cool to catch a QANTAS flying boat at St Kilda pier in Melbourne and fly up to Rose Bay in Sydney

Not Oz but close enough...as a nipper growing up in Auckland, NZ we lived very near to Mechanics Bay which was the base for Sea Bee Air which serviced the Waitemata Harbour. Their beautiful Grumman Geese were always flying (very low) overhead as we were on their approach flightpath. I was forever running outside to watch them...

My father worked at the Flying Boat base according to my 8 year older cousin...
