Guys Bogie above, what's the hat and where have you seen them for sale?

Is there any place with a comparison chart of more of Akubra's colors? I've seen the comparison card on Akubra's website, but that seems to have about 1/3 of the colors I have seen referenced. Thanks.
Apparently, sizing is more of an art than a science, as evidenced by Blackthorn's post in the Akubra Campdraft thread:Akubras run pretty true to size to start with, but shrink over time.
...I own a LOT of Akubras, and I have ordered 59s that were perfect, 60s that were perfect, but also 59s that were too small, and 60s that were too big. So I finally came to the strategy of ordering 59 and then putting them on an Art Fawcett band block to stretch them out to my 23 1/4 head. But this one, this CD, fit just like Art had made it especially for me. Good luck with getting a good fit, Zombie. It's just a roll of the dice.
I concur. If you have any questions about sizing (or any other questions about a hat you're ordering, for that matter) it's best to contact the vendor to ask for their suggestions/advice.Hatsdirect can assist you with sizing. The Fed is their exclusive, so they deal with it all the time.
I am sorry. I am rather confused again. I want to buy a fed 4 and I was recently informed that their sizes run slightly small. I just re measured my head with a tape measurer and I am a 59.2 cm. What hat size do I go with when buying a fed 4 or any akubra for that matter?
This may or may not be helpful to xbeatles4x, but I'm pleased to read it. When my Campdraft fit so well right out of the box I was concerned that it would shrink as much as my Fed IV did (about 1/2 a size as you wrote) and become unwearable for me. My Campdraft almost immediately became my new favorite hat, and I'm hoping to wear it until it crumbles to dust.In my experience the Fed IV after a few wears is about 1/2 a size smaller than the Campdraft after a similar amount of wear...
Hats Direct provides "sizing strips" (thin strips of foam rubber, if I remember correctly) with their hats. Some of the members here have used them by slipping them under the sweat band until the hat shrunk to the proper size, then removed them. I thought they were a little uncomfortable, so I just wore my hat around the house without them for 2 or 3 days until it fit properly....If it Is still slightly too big I guess I could put those pieces of paper in the head band.
