Fantastic!

I hope more pictures are coming; I think that just became my favorite Work of Art! A very well-balanced design, with a perfect ribbon size. Is that a center dent? Soft felt?
I'll beg forgiveness later for putting it right here...

Fantastic hat! Though personally not a color that I prefer ...or can wear...it makes me look...well..."green around the gils" as my mom used to say (as if I as seasick).

Great workmanship though. :)

Thanks Gents...I wasn't expecting this one to get out yet but I'm glad it did. I'll let my client tell you more about the "why's" of the design.
Enjoy!!

The Tucker

Perhaps most of you know, I joined the Fedora Lounge just a couple a months ago. Immediately, I starting inquiring about what type hat I should wear to protect my half bald noggin from the sun. I was concerned about protecting my scalp and still had a professional appearance in my profession of 26 years. I have been in the automobile business for over 26 years and I have seen my share of characters.

I was well received and all of you posted your opinions about what would look best. You gave me sound advice with good reasoning and I took it all in and considered my choices. I spoke with Robert and ordered a Panama hat from him. He advised me that I should have it blocked by Art Fawcett. I contacted Art. He read my e-mails, viewed my photos and he advised me on the brim and crown for my size. I am eagerly waiting for my ?¢‚Ǩ?ìsummer hat?¢‚Ǩ? to arrive.

Art being highly recommended, we continued to chat with each other about my needs and concerns for another hat. I told him that I liked a color called the ?¢‚Ǩ?ìHickory Wonder?¢‚Ǩ? or ?¢‚Ǩ?ìPecan?¢‚Ǩ?. He said that he would get the felts and see what he could come up with.

I hope none of you has ever had a negative experience with bad salesperson. But if you did and it was with a vehicle transaction, then it only makes it worse. A professional salesperson is a great listener, who gathers the facts and then applies their products to the solution. Art did just that. He listened and understood my wants, needs and concerns about my profession and my appearance. He told me to give him a little time to come up with something.

In the meantime, I continued searching for the style of hat I felt comfortable with. I kept looking at all of the hat sites and comparing, but I couldn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t put my finger on it. Then one night I had a ?¢‚Ǩ?ìEureka?¢‚Ǩ? moment and noticed that I liked a smaller ribbon for the band. I liked the center dent or c crown.

At the same time, Art posted a beautiful silver hat and someone else posted an ad for the?¢‚Ǩ?Palamino?¢‚Ǩ??¢‚Ǩ¬¶.and a naming contest started in the forum and I thought what would I name a hat?

I e-mailed Art and told him that if he created something new for me, could I name it? I told him I liked the name ?¢‚Ǩ?ìThe Tucker.?¢‚Ǩ? Preston Tucker, entrepreneur, manufacturer of the WWII Tucker Turret and of course the Tucker automobile. (This is my favorite car) Mr. Tucker was an innovator with style. He wanted to produce a safe but great looking car, in which he did. He was a rebel in his day and took on many challenges. I loved the movie ?¢‚Ǩ?ìTucker?¢‚Ǩ? with Jeff Bridges. When you see Jeff standing there with his sleeves rolled up, he looked like a working man. ( I usually look like this too.)

Art told me that the Tucker was his favorite car, too and he liked the name. He also told me that he had his new hat for me done and sent me the pics.

When I opened up those pictures, I couldn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t believe what I saw. As you can see, the hat is simple yet very stately. I am sure it will make a positive impression on most people. Remember, that I speak to all kinds of people selling cars (Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep) here in rural Southeast Missouri, from loggers to lawyers and from bankers to bull riders. I got on the phone with Art and he wanted to know what I thought of the new hat. I told him about my eureka moment and how my ideas that formulated matched what he created.

As soon as I get my new hat, I will be glad to post the final product. I want to thank all of you that posted your opinions, sent e-mails, pm?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s and phone calls. I appreciate you all very much.

Thank You Art.

Rodger sent me a pic from the movie ?¢‚Ǩ?ìTucker?¢‚Ǩ? and the mr Tucker?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s hat is very similar to mine. Rodger also told me that there is a bug in the hat forum and I will probably come down with it and there is no cure.

Best Regards,

is "The Tucker" available for everyone ?

Yes it is. You don't have to sell cars to own one. Art may have come up with the idea with me in mind...this classic beauty needs to get out more than just my head.
