woe. Someone didn't get a lollipop or something.

Definitely some vintage clothing should be cut up to make pillows or something but when I go into malls and look at what passes for fabric I will take vintage anytime. Much better made. Period..

I just passed on an amazing 1930s wedding gown because the underarms were completely brown. Was not sure if I could get it out or not.
May not of stunk back then but their non stinky b o turned fabric other colors. lol

A rather humorous article. I love that she talks about Sarah Jessica Parker's "vintage 70's" Halston frock. The 70's is *a* vintage, but if the writer thinks of the 1970's as "vintage fashion," then the rest of us lovers of fashion from the 1920's - 1940's are flying completely under her barbed little radar. :D

How about shes just wrong.

Perhaps she cant find something in her size, or is tired of looking and its turned to bile. In any case, that little tantrum was chuckle worthy.

Wow. Such aggression and so misguided too!

Many of the vintage clothing I've come across is too big or too long. Yes some things are very smelly and very stained but I've never come across mothballs?

I don't know if she was trying to anger people or incited ill-feeling, but I kind of find it humorous.

hear hear Zendy!

Maybe it becuse she knows vintage is popular and writing this will either get a reaction from people and her name known.
if she said 5 reason to wear vintage then we just agree and forget her.
if that not right then I go with LD idea.

what ever it's still a good laugh

Whoo whee, somebody really got up on the wrong side of the bed! Reckon she just got given the air by a vintage-wearing boyfriend or something? Such venom - so uncalled for, tsk tsk...

P.S. Cone boobs rule!

 Cold feet, maybe?

I've had success soaking sweat-stained, non-vintage white shirts in Biz for an hour and then using detergent. But I've never tried it on brown underarm stains.

I do not understand how those are lies that those of us who wear vintage tell, they seem more like general statements written by a crazy ranting lunatic.

My friends and I have decided that this broad probably had a falling out with someone who wore/liked vintage and now this is her scapegoat :D

I just happened accross this thread and looked to see what it's about. I think you are correct when you say it's the crazy rantings of a lunatic. The writing of the article is barely coherent. There is so many holes in what she says you almost can't see the article lol . That sort of thing is so goofy it isn't even worth going over why she's just full of **it. I did notice that there was a link on the same page apparantly by someone on the same staff of writers that had some positive things to say. In so many words it seems that even a colleague thinks she's a little over the top.
Well it's usually best to ignore the cracked pots and they'll fade away.
