I'm looking for a 1940s style dressing gown, something I can wear around the house instead of yoga pants and an old t-shirt. Does anyone know if there are reproductions, or similar style items, available anywhere?

I've not seen anything like what I think you're looking for. More a house coat type dress than a dressing gown? ie/zips or buttons, not wrap style.

I'd say your best bet is to buy a pattern and make/have some made, then you get exactly what you want in your size/colour.

Good idea!

I snaffled an excellent 70's towelling robe recently, it looks very 30's/40's, it has a zip front, tie waist, with three quarter puffy sleeves, sadly its brown with cream piping, but i feel a dye job coming on. I found it in a charity shop and i have to say i'm over the moon with it! I get most of my nightwear at charity shops, most of my wardrobe really.

Old lady shops are also great for dressing gowns too, as they carry lots of vintage-y styles.

Good luck with the search though.
