Just thought I would post a pic of one of my Open Roads that I just got back from Art Fawcett.
The hat looks great!

I cant say enough about what a difference Arts magic did to this hat.

I have 3-hats to send to Art for cleaning, sizing and blocking. One is a silver belly open road. As soon as I get my summer hats from Panama Bob, I plan to ship all three to Oregon. I am a stratoliner fan but not of the prices so I am an Open Road fan.

Yours looks fantastic.

Do you have any idea about the vintage of the hat or which block Art used?

No, dont have a before pic. The hat was in the LBJ shape when I sent it to Art. I had 'reshaped' it to the fedora style and wore it that way a while before I sent it to Art. Art put the finish to the hat and it now looks complete.
One of the Open Roads that Art is working on I plan to wear as a Stratoliner [silver belly]. I am going to get a pin for it. I do have a brown Strat that I also am going to put a pin on. This way I can have 2 Strats. Both hats are so much alike, unless you look at the sweat you cant tell the difference.

The best thing to do is to tell Art what you want, and be clear in your telling, if you have a photo of a hat you like, be sure to include it with your hat when you send it to Art. I just told him on this hat that I wanted a c-crown and to give it a look that didnt look factory made.
Needless to say he did very well.
I hope to get some more pics out in the sun soon , I think the hat will look better that way.
