Wow...again.
The leather, knits, hardware, design all gorgeous, but what really stands out for me is JC's stitch work and detail.
Seen some companies A2's that were certainly "A2's"...but there are "A2's" and then there are "A2's".
GW's look like they are about to be handed out by the Quartermaster in WW2, and not just purchased from a mall like some out there.

(BTW, how do you post an individual photo here from another web site like these shots from GW? What do you "copy" on the original web site to post here? Once I get that I can figure out the rest.)

(EDIT...got it.)

When you see all the superb jackets , from various manufacturers , posted here,
am I the only one to think how lucky we are to have so many great craftsmen (and women)
releasing products in competition with each other ?

I often think that Eggleman. That russet A2 really is a masterpiece.

A superfluous question - given the nature of this site and the jacket-porn herein, the only lone person would be the one who thinks we aren't lucky.

Fine tailoring as ever, but I'm not sold on the colour of the hide (very russet on my iMac monitor) and the Roughwear patterns leave me unmoved.
On the other hand the current offering of Indian goatskin from John is about the best that I've seen in terms of look, drape and (importantly for goat) aroma - not at all intrusive.

Many Macs have good overall picture, but it doesnt mean you see the right colors. My monitor (pc) is calibrated with a semi-pro instrument and it doesnt look "in-your-face-russet" to me at all. It looks like a true russet color with something about it that just makes it look georgeous. To me the color is spot on.

I'm not saying that it's 'in-your-face' Griff (although you might be right about the monitor as none of my Macs have been calibrated in any way), but it doesn't strike so much of chord with me - although I am a sucker for darker russet hides.
This is a GW Perry 23377 that I've just sold (in a russet goatskin).

Love the hide, and the color!

Yes, it looks excellent - the Indian goatskin is the closest in appearance to vintage that John has produced IMHO.

Ok well that has more bown in it and less orange so I understand.

Its just that I usually think russet is very russet, like some Aeros. I do like the color but I am scared that it might be a little too much (l o l if you look at my avatar, but this is a different style) so I was a little surprised thats all because to me one of the things that made my mouth water here was the fact that it was a toned down russet (to me) that was "just right".

Sample of what I thought russet often looked like:
