I predicted the demise of ebay a few months back with that first batch of, "improvements".
They just keep throwing wood on the fire,... But being the eternal optimist that I am, there is still time for a miracle here,...like for instance the doofus that is running it into the ground getting fired. :eusa_clap

I am beginning to believe that may be the plan. With the government slowly coming up on them and their members like in Canada they may be wanting to take a loss.
Where is the home base of Ebay anyway. Isn't it France. Is France breathing down their neck?

I've toyed with selling on Amazon, but have yet to do so. Has anybody done this and what has been your experience? Can you sell used clothing on Amazon?

I gotta admit, I'm a bit confused about the jump to paid link advertising.

Ebay has Ebay Express, a storefront so you can purchase new items from sellers.

Ebay has their standard puchase model of varied new and used goods from all over the world in auction and in purchase format.

Ebay is now discontinuing Live Auctions, because 80 sellers doing live auctions is not enough profit for them to continue this model.

Ebay is discontinuing very low-margin sales, because the work required supercedes their profit margins.

Ebay's CEO has also stated he wants to gravitate away from the flea-market mentality of the Auction Ebay.

Ok, so what's Ebay Express for than if not for newer goods?

And if he doesn't want to do low-end sales for small profit generation, why is he bothering to list link advertising? It's just a small profit, though there is the notion it is support-free.

It seems that we are getting conflicting messages, yes?

What's interesting is that yahoo used to have an auction platform that they had hoped would compete with ebay. Then, they made it free with sponsored links. It failed. Now, here they are on ebay.
