I can't believe it....
My wife just came through the door and said she had got me a gift....
She was in the thrift shop and found an Adam Straw Hat......
It has a Black Ribbon and black leather sweatband. On the sweatband are the words "Genuine Panama" in gold letters.
I felt around the sweatband and folded behind it still was the ADAM original ticket which reads:
Price
Style Color Size
T T ENVOY Bleach
No price no size..... The hat is in excellent condition and doesn't look like any wear to it at all.
I will try to get some pics tomorrow in the day light and post them in this thread.....
That's all the good news, the bad news is , it doesn't fit my noggin
I would love to have this hat but it is too small. My wife says there was another hat at this store with this one but it was all beat up and had a hole in it and the size on the bad hat was 6 3/4 . She said to her the hats looked identical and she thought maybe the guy wore one hat and got a hole in it and decided he liked it so much he bought a replacement....
So how do I figure out what size it is, I know I have read where they say don't try to size by measuring around the inside so I have no clue how to size this.....
Any help on sizing and whether this is a vintage hat or not would be appreciated.....
