Don't worry, our friend Dickie Teenie (formerly Dickie Normous) knows Mike personally and has promised us a full pictorial review of the jacket...I believe he's busy getting married in Greece at the moment.

Many similar jackets to that one are around. It looks like a vintage number made of HH, most probably. The back, with its three pieces of leather and big seam down the middle, isn't as pretty as a half-belt but it's period too.

Not worried... & congrats to Dickie or Mike...not sure which is getting married !

Seb, so what I need to look for in similar style is called "half-belt " ?

You just look for a men's civilian leather jacket - sometimes it'll be called a utility jacket with slash pockets and no chest pocket (it seems). I'm sure you could send the photos to Alan at Johnson Leathers and get one made for an affordable price. If you want it to fit like Mike's it needs to be cut fairly long and it'll help immeasurably if you are slim.

Because that patten is so common I'd imagine Wilson's leathers would have made a passable version when they made better quality 10-20 years ago. Check out eBay.

I'm lucky to live in area where the weather allows me to pursue my passion...

keeps me in shape !

Thanks for the input Seb .

Seb , for your clarification...playing tennis daily keeps me slim which allows me to fit
into the jackets comfortably...that's the connection I was trying to make !
