Put a crease on my new Cedar brown CD. This is my third CD, and I'm happy with it.

That's a dead ringer, color and all, for my Akubra RM Williams. I finished mine in a teardrop crease, though. I think the dimensions may be a tiny bit different on the two, but they're basically the same hat. Cedar brown, mid-brown, maybe the same color?

Nice job on the crease!
Hi, DH. The cedar-brown is a very dark brown, isn't it?

I made a review of my Campdraft for anyone needing more of a look at it and information on the Akubra Campdraft.

A year from now you won't even consider ever parting with that hat. I have a number of hats in various shades of brown, but the bluegrass green looks killer with a brown horsehide or goatskin jacket. Also, I had a good laugh at your treatment of the hat: if you ever get a chance, check out a movie called "The Male Animal" from 1942. There's a scene in it where Henry Fonda walks in the house, grabs his hat in a fistfull off his head and throws it on the couch. I always think of it when I read someone here talking about the proper way of handling hats.Anyway, all the best.

Yeah Im really enjoying it now. I didn’t know that it was considered a Western hat. So it had a slight stiffness to it as Western Hats do. Im learning so much on the Lounge.

I broke in the crown and now the hat is super soft.
I just measured the inside circumference and the sweatband has shrunk down a whole exact size from a 57 to a 56. Now it fits comfortably without hitting my ears. It took I think a weeks time.

Hey guys, Ive been givin my CD a beating and letting it get rained on and the more it takes the happier I am with it.
The felt started shedding a bit of lint but now its much softer and feels like im wearing it and its not wearing me.
I also can lower the crown without it poppingn back up.
I got it down to about 4.5 inch tear drop bash.

Still hard to get accurate photo on a phone, looks way cooler in person.
Heres an updated pic.

Sorry for putting a damper on the thread with my conserns on the stiffness and the spidering. EverythingAustralian reached back to me and offered me a return. But I will email them and tell them I will keep it and I am working out the felt. I never wanted to return it I just wanted to know how to tame it.
The crushing and rain has been working to make it feel like my own.
Thanks to the brotherhood with all your imput on the brand from your own personal experiences.
I don’t regret owning the CD Bluegrass. The colors great. The weight is comfortable, the brim length is perfect and the sweatband is comfortable to.
This hat is a hat that gets better in time.

Anybody ever stumble across or have any experience with this site?
http://koalacountrytraders.50megs.com/Akubra.htm
Site says they have Campdraft 8n the following „Colours: Black, Mid Brown, Silver Belly, Carbon Grey, Bluegrass Green and SkyGrey.“

Price looks crazy cheap too....

Well, I'm suspicious. They don't offer any method for ordering other than email or phone, and they're offering CDs in colors that Akubra doesn't seem to offer them in.

I'd love a black CD, though.

Yeah... I remember you writing that before about wishing for a black CD.... at least I think that was you...

It HAS to be BS, but the tease of CDs in black and sky gray (no idea what that would be but it sounds glorious) is killing me a little.

Yes, that was me. A vintage black OR would be preferable, but I'd definitely take a black CD as a consolation prize.
