Airplane pin on the Stratoliner ?

I was searching trying to find when Stetson first put the airplane pin on the Stratoliner. The only mention I came up with was both in 1940, it also mentions the stylish box as ''new''
Does someone know when the Stratoliner by Stetson first came out? And if the pin was on it from the start.

For the longest time there was a women's stratoliner in someone's eBay store. I think it's now been sold.

I did not know Stetson made a womens Strat.
Ya learn something new everyday!
Hope someone chimes in on the possible date for the pins.

Based on the dates of those two pictures it appears the ladies version predates the men's!

With regards to the date of the pins I would start with a history of the airplane and try to narrow it down from there.
Perhaps you can find whether October 1940 is a beginning, middle or late period in the history of the hat. You can then search forward or back accordingly in looking for references.
