Aero Waterfront coincidence

Was travelling on the underground today when a fella sat down beside me wearing a reversible Aero Waterfront. I couldn't help myself and engaged him in a spot of chat……as I wondered if it was my old Waterfront, that I traded back to Aero some 5 years ago, a move I had always regretted. It turns out we we had both done the same thing - he had traded his cloth Waterfront for the leather version, I had traded my leather version for the cloth one! But, alas, the one he was wearing was not mine. I wonder where my old one ended up?

Both are great jackets!

The annoying thing is that I had contemplated wearing my Waterfront today, but I decided against it, as I was lugging a heavy SLR camera around and selected a jacket more suitable to the job at hand. ( Carhartt chore coat )

I love the cloth Waterfront - mine was the first Aero I bought new. I love it so much, I'm tempted at some point to see if they could make me a halfbelt in the same wool, perhaps shearling lined....

I do hope they can develope another colour, say, red/black checked wool? I really love the Waterfront, just the colour stops me from buying it.
I would love something in red/black too. Prefer button up and slightly longer.

For me the cloth Waterfront is perfection! I couldn't get along with the leather version - so heavy, and the poppers didn't keep out the cold. Talking to Ken about a non reversible leather waterfront, basically a black A2.

Horse for courses.... the green is what attracted me in the first place; makes a nice change from the much more common red. It'd definitely be nice to see the option of the same in a red, though, and maybe a blue. I'd definitely consider another wool jacket if they could get a differently coloured check. Nice switch from the leather sometimes.

Saw an Aero A2 in black FQHH on the Bay years ago. Looked nice, though I ouldn't go that heavy a hide for that style of jacket. The newer goat Aero have now, which is available in black, would be a nice option.

The chap I met today had his reversible, custom made, in goat. The one I had was, I think, front QHH - so heavy! But beautiful to look at, just not very practical.

Yeah, it must have been. That wool really is hefty stuff for lining material.

I too love the green check of the waterfront. Red would be nice, a bit woodsy. Blue would be stunning!

The red one does have the lumberjack vibe, which I'd especially enjoy when I fancied a spot of cross-dressing.

Edward, have you looked at the vintage Pendletons on ebay lately? At Dinerman's prompting, I saw some really nice, odd-colored ones recently going for very reasonable prices. I was sorely tempted, but I live in a tropical swamp.
