I recently sought advice here when I was looking for an alternative to Aero's FQHH. I received several very helpful suggestions but fortuitously Aero made the Vicenza hides available to all. I also took some good advice to visit the factory, and try a few jackets on to ensure the best fit. All at the factory were very helpful and pleasant. It is interesting to see the different hides made up into jackets. I really enjoyed the visit but do not want to gush too much lest I may impair my objectivity. I finalised my order for a Work Coat in dark seal Vicenza, size 46 with blue Melton wool lining. All standard except 0.5 inches off the sleeves. I have tried to show some of the details and also capture the characteristics of the hide. The dark seal is towards dark chocolate with some mahogany undertones. It reminds of Aero's mid-weight seal but with more character and I think it may wear in a bit faster.

On my monitor, because of the flash, most of these are lighter than reality but show how light brings out some of the lighter tones.

Thanks to all for their advice. I will post some fit pictures later.

Very nice. I like the style and the leather. I also like that Aero label, which I don't recall seeing before. I can't make out what it says below Aero? It this a special label for a run of jackets? Nice.

Here are a few pictures of the coat on. The cut is definitely slim but not restrictive. The gusset in the back gives some additional movement. I have a 45" chest and can wear a 44 in Aero's Long Half Belt etc. I had a Mulligan in 46" which, although slimmer than the LHB, was a bit big on me. This is slimmer again than the Mulligan. With the button adjusters tightened I can wear a shirt and light sweater. With the buttons out I can fit a fairly thick sweater underneath. You can see that the cut is very slim across the stomach and hips. Any slimmer and I would have to wear a girdle to get in.

Gorgeous jacket...great choice of style and leather! I have the same jacket in dark seal vicenza and love it more everyday.
One thing to note is that even though it continues to soften and grain up more its "wearing in" is much slower than my brown fqhh Maxwell jacket as far as showing surface wear, etc. Seems in some ways to have a stronger outer surface.

It's the new label used for the Premier range.

The label reads

Limited Edition

AERO

Premier Range

thanks. A classy touch with that label. I've been very interested in the Japanese shops reproductions in this style. I have a Buzz Rickson something along these lines. The Vicenza HH really fits here. Aero really stepped up on this one. I was not aware of the Premier Range, impressive. I'm writing this wearing an Original Hercules. I'm thinking how nice it would be in this hide. It is the old school stiff HH, but then that isn't a bad thing. Great jacket you put together.

Have you tried changing the cinch strap to the second button? That would give you a little slack at the front.
