I can try and grab some pics if you like. I found/find it a little
Lighter than regular FQHH and obviously needed less break in.

I’m sure I read somewhere that the vintage or tumbled FQHH was shaved down a touch which I would believe but maybe that’s just a batch variation and mine was a slightly lighter hide by coincidence, Carrie would know better than me if that’s actually the case.
That would be great. I asked Carrie exactly that question and she said it is really the same stuff, but tumbled longer

You need to add the length of the sleeves. The rest is a moot point. Try putting something else besides a T-shirt under your jacket.

Here is my View attachment 186329 View attachment 186327 View attachment 186328

This is probably the ideal fit if you plan to wear the jacket with more than a t-shirt and as a real 3 or 4 season jacket. It won't compress the layering underneath and render it useless in the cold and you will have a better range of motion.

After sending back and forth 52 Emails with Carrie (her patience is unbelievable) we finally submitted the order for my PHWY to Aero. I am really much looking forward to add this jacket to my growing collection.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this thread! Your opinions and comments were very helpful and are much appreciated. Now the wait time begins...

Quick question: has anyone of you combined brown (lighter caramel type) with red cotton drill? Would love to see that combination. Carrie told me it is not advisable as the red brings out the Orange in the brown too much.

My CXL Steerhide brown HWM has some reds in the lining, but not completely red. I would tend to agree with her assessment, she has never yet steered me wrong...

Fellow powerlifter and eater of dumbells, ton312? Really, it's why I lift. to get rid of extra excess leather and pleats.
I wouldn’t consider myself a power lifter but I am a former athlete and use the weight room where I work to stay in shape. Some patterns flatter an athletic physique and others don’t. I kind of knew that going in but I’m also a long time explorer and had to try!
