Aero Indian Ranger design updated

Caught wind of this on Aero's instagram feed:

aeroleatherclothingWe have just completed a restoration on an original 1947 Indian Ranger for good customer and vintage leather collector @yomysteryo. Whilst carrying out the restoration we took the opportunity to examine along with another original in our archives and have tweaked our own reproduction.

We have altered the sleeve zip set up so it is now an open zip with windflap rather than gusseted. Included the unusual but handy inside pocket, added the correct single pillion pocket. Repositioned the lapel and collar studs.

We believe now this is the finest motorcycle jacket we offer.

I would presume that their customer "yomysteryo" is our own @Mysteryo... Can you give us some more details, Mysteryo?

I agree it is the best mc jacket they have. J-106 ain’t bad but there are better versions on the market.

If I was going to go with a biker jacket, it'd be an Indian Ranger, probably in the brown-base black horse. Love the red lining too.

I must say thank you so much to Aero Leather for taking such skills an talent in restoring my 1947 Indian Ranger HH jacket. Amazing job for that piece of history!
They agreed to use a vintage 50's plaid wool shirt that I provided to be used as a new lining, and the result is just great!
They also added an inside pocket.
Restitch a lot of rotten thread, and repaired hand warmer pockets.
They also kept me posted on steps of the repair work. There's also pictures of their (awesome) repro of the iconic Ranger near my original one.
And I'm so proud they took this opportunity to update their own Indian Ranger repro.

Wow! That's amazing. Do you mind if I ask a few questions, Willy? How much? Did they stitch the shirt inside the jacket after some cuts or did they take the shirt to pieces too? Is the shirt inside the jacket sleeves too?

Such beautiful restoration work. I didn't even know that Aero did this sort of thing. But I am glad I know now! The results speak for themselves. I bet it wasn't cheap, but however much you paid, I can tell you that it was worth it. Great photos, thanks for adding them, @Mysteryo

Makes me think @gamma88 might have been better off sending his recent repair job home to Scotland, regardless of the cost.

Wasn't cheap, but hey, I's a professionnal's work! So, it cost me around 400$.
They dismanteled the shirt to make a new lining from scratch (there was no lining left in the jacket), they used their heavy cotton drill for the sleeve, and the pockets.
