Aero Birds of prey

So this Aero Birds of prey jacket caught my eye on the Aeros sales page. And what draw me to it was it's uniqueness and rarity as an Aero pattern. Also that it was my first Vicenza jacket and also first half belt.

It is black Vicenza with black bone buttons, standard Talon antiqued brass main zip and diamond antiqued brass pocket zip. The lining is standard cotton tartan.

The Vicenza is very great leather with beautiful grain. And I have to say it is nice change after the Chromexel jackets i've worn. It is light weight, easy to wear and drapes nicely.

I had one of the Rough and Ready Aeros with the Levi label. It was a superb fitting jacket. One I gave away and should have kept.

No, they were pre-Vicenza. Not sure what they used. It was nice even with the fake distressing. The Vicenza on your jackets looks very nice.

I don't need but I have to, I already know it. The TFL effect has me in it's grasp and I see no way out.

It’s my favourite Aero design. Superb and fits you very well. I had one of the Levi’s jacket and imho the leather was very similar to the oil pull HH they regularly stock. Yours in Vicenza is nicer.

It is very Seabiscuity indeed.

Also as a side note the way the main zip curves at the chest (more noticeable when fully closed) is something different compared to Aeros other cross zips.

It is and it is not Levis. The cut and the maker (Aero) is the same as the original Bird of prey Levis jacket were. But this one is Aeros independent jacket, so no Levis involved. I think Aero has a deal with Levis that after they have sold all the originals, then Aero can make the jacket as their own. So they basically have the rights to that pattern now.

So all and all this is Aero jacket with Levis pattern, with Aeros labels and no Levis mentioned anywhere.

Ps. This was their test jacket of that old pattern, they choose to remake after many years.
