aero b-15; conserve or restore?

Hey! I'm a new guy, and thrilled to find this place. I've been a A2 junkie for a while, and have lots of questions. But for now I'll ask the one that I just can't resolve in my mind. I've got a really nice aero b-15 that in most ways is in great shape, collar and lining are great, the jacket is clean, even the inside of the pockets are clean! But like a lot of these, the sleaves above the cuffs are frayed, although the cuffs are great.And the Conmar zipper is pulling out of the cloth in such a way that it could not be sew back. Thing is, it actually fits me great, and I was just going to fix it up for a knock around until I read the label, Any body got a thought?
