Aero A-2 CBI jacket with mouton collar

Thinkin of getting another A-2 from Aero and the "Field Modified" CBI A-2 jacket really caught my eye. I love fur collars on jackets and this particular
one is also reasonably priced at 255 gbp. Dont think I have seen any photos anywhere of this type of A-2 (except on the Aero site) so does anyone here have this particular type of A-2 from Aero ? Maybe you could kindly post pics and a brief review ? I guess these A-2´s were rather rare .

I can't find it right now but I know someone on this site posted pics of the exact jacket you are thinking of getting. You are right it is a good deal. Also those jackets were fairly rare in the ETO. I do recall seeing one in the last six years (an original) on ebay.

Thanks greyhound. I could not find the thread myself. Pity there aint a pic of this jacket being worn. Think I made up my mind and will order the field modified version. Just dont know whether to go for goatskin or horsehide. Definately want a rust colour mouton rather than brown.

May I suggest asking for mouton samples from Aero or Mark Moye(US Rep). Recently posted on VLJ was a somewhat "shaggy" mouton from Aero...and pics of a overly bleachedlook "light blond" collar on an eBay Aero. Neither accurate to period jackets,IMO. Other Aero repros have shown a dark mouton with shades of rust that do have an authentic appearance. I'm with you,tho..I prefer the lighter rustic rustyreddish mouton. Samples would give a good idea of what they offer.
