Howdy folks,
I'm looking for some off-the-rack brown jump boots, in the style of Corcoran's, but with a modern, treaded, vibram sole.
I love William Lennon, but frankly, every time I've ordered or tried to order, it takes 2-4 months *just to place the order* and then another 3-4 months to get the boots, for an average turn around time of 4-6 months; I've ordered three pairs.
Corcoran's are acceptable, although I find the leather quality to be poor, and they are some of the only boots that I've owned where the leather gave out before the sole; I've owned 3 pairs of Corcorans, and the leather had split and cracked through to the sock every time. Since they're PU coated, you can't meaningfully polish or condition them. Also, the flat sole is a no go on wet stairs or in the winter. If they had brown boots with Vibram soles, I'd go for them, but AFAIK, there is no such option.
I'm hard on my boots, my present pair of William Lennons have done about 2000km since September, and I need boots that I can buy that won't take half a year to receive.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in Europe, so Wescos, White's, and Vibergs, are probably too expensive, especially with the shipping and duty fees, and considering how rough I am on my boots. I'd only consider dishing out big bucks if I could get a custom Corcoran-ish build that was highly recommended.
Ideal build would be 12 hole, natural cxl hh, 360 goodyear welt, shank, vibram sole.
Help me, Fedora Lounge. You're my only hope.
