? about A2 zips.

I am ordering a Aero Smooth Horsehide Beacon N.Y. 42-15142-P A-2, from Aero Leathers and was wondering which
of the two zip options is the more authentic. quote This jacket is fitted with a Triple Marked Talon with Art Deco Box in choice of Nickel or Antique Brass. unquote. I like the sound of the brass, but if it was not used it seem's a bit pointless.

Here is a pic of an original Aero Co jacket with nickel finish Talon zip (courtesy of Acme Depot).

That was, I understand, the regular fitment.

There are experts on here who know far more than me.

I'm sure they will tell you if brass was ever used by Aero

This Aero contract originally had Talon or Crown zips. Unless you pay the extra for a NOS Talon the jacket will come with a repro Talon zip.

I know the zipper will be a repo but you can have a choice of brass or nickel.
I think the brass would look better, in a Seal A2.

But it would not be accurate! Most brass zips are found in civi jackets.
