I'm interested if people feel these jackets need to be sized different to other leathers. At 6 ft 2 would you want an A2 at 26 inches long or 28? This would include the knit at bottom. My halfbelts have tended to have 27 inch backs.
The A-2 is supposed to be a fitted jacket where the waistband covers the belt. I would imagine it should fit a tad shorter then a half-belt so 26" may be the way to go. I'm 6' 1" and I like my A-2 right at 27".
I think it might depend on the cut of the jacket and how it "hangs". The A-2 lengths don't seem to be as forgiving when worn short due to the knits. I'm 6'2" and I think my sweet spot is 26.5", but if I tuck my shirt in, possibly shorter.
Thanks guys. US Authentic offer 26 or 28 tall length in my size. That's at a 23 inch chest. My chest measurement is 40 so that should be okay. Next size up, a 42 is 24 pit to pit probably too big. I usually wear a 42 but the U.S. 40 seems large enough.
These seem to be to be abnormally long A-2 lengths being discussed here.
I'm an Aero size 50, with one inch added to the length, which IIRC is 26 inches on my 186.5 cm height.
A longer length would just look like a pastiche of an A-2 in my opinion- the proportions would just be all wrong, surely?
