Went up to Aero last week with the intention of ordering an A2 in goatskin.
Was part ex-ing a couple of jackets , a Happy Days in battered horse hide and a Sheene in black badalassi so keep your eyes on their 'used' section!
Walked into the showroom and spotted an A2 hanging by itself on one of the rails, looked at the tag and the listed sizes suited me perfectly....turns out it was a 50's flying jacket and made from battered steerhide, olive drill lining and olive knits, tried it on and it fitted perfectly!
It appears it was a return jacket due to wrong colour knits going on yet they were the colours I'd have picked. Price reduced a little due to the inside pocket being slightly off line (although not noticeable to me)...I never use them so it could have been on upside down and it wouldn't have mattered
Had a look at a goatskin jacket just to see if I'd have liked the leather, each to their own however, It wasn't for me.
In the end I got a great price on the part ex jackets and a great price on the new one and no long wait for one to be made.
Thanks Denny
