This disco gem recently sold on eBay. Let us hope it was not to one of us.

To tell the truth, if it had been in my size, I prolly would've bought it just for the shock value. For the $49.95 that it went for, it would be worth it if I only wore it once or twice, just to see the expressions of horror and disbelief...

Nope.

You can't deny that suit's got style. Maybe not yours, maybe not mine, but it's definitely got it.

Even though it's not something I'd wear, I prefer something that looks interesting to something that's blah and boring.

Hey, topstitch welt, peak lapels and patch pockets, that's a start.

Probably got a belt in the back too. It was by association with el tacko doubleknit styles that the beltback met its doom.

If I wore this (speaking strictly theoretically), I would put it with a Cleveland Set (matching white patent leather belt and dingle dangle loafers), a black shirt made of something ending in "lon," Superfly sunglasses, and a big-ass Ankh.

I'd like to have that for Halloween. Paired with my legs I could go as a Yard Flamingo!

Great image. Gene as the Dapper Flamingo. Let's see the cartoon -

Ignoring the material, the cut somewhat resembles a jazz suit!

Mike: yup!

And I'm also in agreement with the implication of what Dinerman said. If you're seeking an answer to the question, "What kinda nut would find that appealing, let alone find the guts to wear it?", just think about your take on the aghast reactions from people wondering why you're wearing vintage and vintage-style clothing....

There's a vintage something for everybody.
