A little embarassing, but I need to know!

Hey all,

I'm contemplating getting my first vintage suit. Now, by nature, I'm not a big suit-wearer, but seeing as how I love the 30s and 40s, I think I'd feel more comfortable in a vintage suit then I would in a modern suit....it would feel "right" to me if that makes sense lol. My question is, would I get measured the same way for a vintage suit that I would for a modern suit? Do vintage suits accomodate differently? Seems like a stupid question but I figured that this is the perfect place to ask about it! :)

I've bought a few vintage suits off of ebay, that have fit great. I went to a seamstress and got measured, the measurements for the vintage suit are the same for the measurements for a modern suit that I have. Always go by your measurements and not the size, it's vintage tag sizes that differ from modern tag sizes. A vintage suit is a great purchase, and I do find my vintage suits to be nicer and better made than some of the modern suits I have.
