Is the Appalachian Horse a dark brown or black?

Very nice. I had an old ebay brown one for many years I picked up for $60. Wore it hard for years and it looked good as when I got it. May I ask, what did you put on it? Thanks...

The Appalachian is black and is in really nice condition. The leather is pretty soft for horsehide. Judging from the condition of the leather and lining I don't think it was worn very much.

I haven't done anything to it, I picked it up a few weeks ago but unfortunately it's just a little too small for me in the shoulders.

The black horsehide halfbelt is nice, but, I'm curious about one of the pics on the ebay listing: there is a close-up of a zipper breast pocket on the RIGHT side of the jacket, but, the full front view of the jacket shows no breast pocket on the right, only on the left. Can you clarify this, please.

Yeah, that one picture was taken in a mirror! The pocket is on the left side as your wearing the jacket. Sorry for the confusion
