7 5/8 Vintage Stingy Brim #2 - Stetson Royal

This I got with the original Stetson box for a Dinerman-esque steal via eBay. The color is best described as a deep charcoal gray, certainly darker than the Akubra carbon gray color. It's almost black, but it's not. It's got a minor bit of work that needs to be done -- there's a minor stain and the ribbon needs to be smoothed out. Any ideas as to the age? When it's all cleaned up, I can tell I'm going to like it a lot.

This one is being sent to Optimo today for a cleaning. I'll post the after-pictures when I get it back. I really like it. It's the darkest not-black color I think I've ever seen.

Back from Optimo! Cleaned, blocked, new sweatband. I love it, but I'm short on funds and I'm going to offer it in the Classifieds first before moving on to eBay. I have enough black / dark gray stingy brims at this point. The work Graham did is spectacular though, as evidenced from contrasting these post-Optimo images to the pre-Optimo images in the initial postings.

Fits like a perfectly comfortable 7 5/8.
