I am selling my fedoras for money because my Gus Miller got stolen at a nightclub when I set it down after dancing. The Gus Miller is BY FAR my favorite hat, and as I am sure everyone would agree on the lounge that fedora fits me by far the best of my hats. So I am going to make some money to buy another Gus Miller and have some extra cash left over.

My fedora collection will be on sale. All defects will be as accurtley displayed as possible.

Bespoke Optimo Fedora

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beaver and nutria blend
color quartz grey
specs

2 5/8 welt brim
1 7/8 band
teardrop crown
tight flared pinch

minor flaws: Two small belemishes towards the back side of both sides of the pinch. (could be oil from the hand) that are to small to be seen with a photo. It should be VERY easy to get them out.

The inside of of the words Optimo is wearing out with a small blue dot. This is very easibly replacable. The roan leather sweat band is in very good condition and needs NO reapair.

The Optimo fedora with shipping cost me about $550. Since a Gus Miller fedora is only $275 with tax I am selling this fedora for $350 with the Box in PERFECT condition for free. I will be very reasonable with shipping as I am just trying to get another Gus Miller and have a few extra bucks to have as a college student.

BE ADVISED HAT FOR SALE

Hat is been renovated by Optimo, and is in near mint condition. The hat no longer has a band. It can easily be replaced. Not spot, rips, nips, or tears on the hat. The inside liner has also been replaced. HAT IS FOR SALE!!!!!

How much to ship to the UK? Up to $370 and I am all game.

And also, what's the size in metic? If under 58cm, can it be stretched?

Just to check, this is a lined hat with a leather sweat band. Grosgrain ribbon gone (can you replace this?). How high is the crown? How well will the hat hold up in rain? And can it be turned into open crown?

A lot of questions, I know, but as a fellow student on a limited budget, I cannot afford to make costly mistakes in getting the wrong hat.

Thanks
Alan

Its 57. It could be streched up to about a 59 maybe 60 without loosing its shape. I could go to the hat shop and have it stretched free of charge, as long as it is no more than 60cm.

Crown is about 4 3/4 inches at the top of the teardrop creased.
Medium crown
medium-wide brim(2 5/8 welt). I had the welt done specifically so the brim would not lose its shape in the rain.

Replacing the ribbon is about the easiest thing in the world for a hatter to do.
The leather sweat and liner are in excellent condition.
Rain does not stand a chance against this hat. This hat is almost "water proof," in reality it is highly water resistant.

I am seriously contemplating buying this hat, but I would prefer it to be stretched (from 57cm to 58/59cm) and to be turned into an open crown hat if possible.

Also, as regards the band, I know it is easy for a hatter to do. Problem is, there are no hatters in England as far as I know, so would you be able to have a ribbon put in if I were to decide to buy it?

I can have the hat sized up to 58-59. I am not going to pay for a hatter to block it into an open crown or put a new ribbon on it. Locke Co and Bates Hats should be able to do that for you.

Locke & co are able to put a ribbon on and re-block the hat, so no problem there. How much would the price of the hat + shipping to the UK be?

Also, sorry if I'm irritating, is there any chance you could put the price a bit lower than $350, as this is a little bit beyond me.

Would you be able to lower the hat price to $275-$300, or is this too much of a rip-off for you?

My trouble is that I have two options to get the hat I want and I will take the cheaper one. One is to get a custom Art Fawcett for $370 with shipping included, and the other is this hat. So $350 is a bit expensive for me, as this hat is not my bespoke and I still have to pay Locke & Co for the ribbon and re-block.

Sorry if I am getting irritating with all these requests, but I intend for this hat to be my last for a few decades.
