7 1/2 Vintage Stingy Brim #3 - Adams

This is another Dinerman-esque steal via eBay. The color is called "Coal" in the original $11.95 price tag, and that's an accurate color description. The sweatband is in pieces almost, so it'll need a replacement. This is actually a 7 1/2, but it fits exactly like a 7 5/8 would. In fact, oddly enough, it's almost too big for my head! Weird. Any ideas as to the age?

Thanks! This one is being sent to Optimo today for a cleaning and a new sweatband. I'll post the after-pictures when I get it back. I'm still marveling at the fit, as it's marked 7 1/2 but it fits my 7 5/8 head like a 7 3/4. Which I like. I don't mind a slightly loose hat for a change!

Back from Optimo! Cleaned, blocked, new sweatband. I love it, but I'm short on funds and I'm going to offer it in the Classifieds first before moving on to eBay. I have enough black / dark gray stingy brims at this point. The work Graham did is spectacular though, as evidenced from contrasting these post-Optimo images to the pre-Optimo images in the initial postings.

Fits like a perfectly comfortable 7 5/8.
