This is a beautiful real harris tweed sportcoat tailored by Burton. I date it to the fifties based on the cut and style. It has three leather buttons with 1 button on the cuff. 1 is missing, but it is a common style.
Pocket flaps that can go in or out. The jacket is in great shape. No spots or holes or anything. The lining will need a stitch here or ther, and there is one large area where there seems to be a water line from some water or something, but it does not look bad. A nice heavier winter weight. The tag calls the color Faun, style number, quality number etc I cna provide if it means anything to you. The lapels are not quite as wide as forties but they look nice. The pocket flap is the shorter type that dates back to the fifties. You don't quite see it in the pic, but there is a slight pinch to the waist that you don't really get anymore, but not overly pronounced.
the color is a cream thread with a sky blue thread and a rust thread. IT is quite beautiful, subtle yet exquisite.
the tag says 42 and judging from how it fits me. I would say that is right. The chest is 23 inches, the shoulders are 19 across, the arms are 25 from shoulder to cuff, 17 from armpit to cuff, and 31 1/2 from top of collar to bottom.
I am wearing it now and it is very comfortable. It has that heavy comfort you only get from heavy wool. I expect taht you will get many years of comfortable wear out of this. It will work in an office or casual setting with a t shirt or dress shirt or shirt and tie. It is a true classic.
the price is $30 plus $10 shipping in the us. Outside of us normal rates will apply. First response in this thread can have it, then pm me please.
