That is a really interesting classic jacket. Would be great to see the likes of Aero or GW copy it.

Jackets of this general style were quite popular in the 20s through 40s, commonly viewed as utilitarian jackets. They were often sold as aviator jackets (or, at least, with a nod to that sort of style), but, as with other leather jackets, were popular among motorcyclists. I'm sure this sort of thing did directly effect the likes of Schott as the post-war period saw the arrival of dedicated motorcycle leathers.
